Praxis
Thursday at 8 pm we will be continuing to discuss "Thriving; more than surviving on campus." This week we will look at dealing with our need for community.
Worship
we will gather for worship at the Found on Sunday at 10 am, upstairs in the sanctuary. Dress is comfortable. There is singing, sharing and prayer, time looking at scripture and fellowship. This will be Shawn's last Sunday for the semester. David Jones, our interim pastor, will be here to take part in the service.
Renovation Groups: Join a small group of students with whom you can work on growing spiritually. This is a student led group that meets weekly to focus on supporting one another through sharing and prayer, learning how to grow in our relationship with God and trying out spiritual practices. If you are interested contact Emily at eldawes@purdue.edu and let her know what nights you are available (M, Tu, W). Groups are now forming.
Hunger Hike!
September 21st we will be participating, along with Federated Church, in the Hunger Hike. The Hunger Hike will raise money for Lafayette Urban Ministry, Food Finders, and St. Tom's Haiti Project. We will be meeting here at the Found at 12:45 to go over Riele Plaza. The hike will start at 2. If you have any questions or would like to participate, please contact Hannah at hecripe@purdue.edu. There is also a sign up sheet on the table in the back of the sanctuary.
Coming soon, more information on the upcoming canoing trip at Turkey Run on September 27th.
Mission Opportunities:
The Found is involved in several mission and service projects throughout the year including Purdue Winterization and a spring break mission trip. This year,
the spring break mission trip will be an urban mission experience in Los Angeles. If you are interested in learning about or organizing these and other
mission and service projects, consider joining the Missions & Service Committee at the Found. Contact Hannah at hecripe@purdue.edu or Megan at
mposey@purdue.edu if you are interested.
Spring Break Mission Trip Fundraising Opportunity:
A woman in the community would like some college students to help move things out of her house. She needs storage items in her basement packed into a
vehicle. Moving would take place Friday afternoon and would only take 2-3 hours. In return, she will donate money to the Found mission trip. If you are
at all interested in participating in this year's spring break mission trip (to L.A.), it is strongly encouraged that you take advantage of these
opportunities. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Megan at mposey@purdue.edu.
