raxis
We are now on our third week of our special study called Posers, Fakers and Wannabes: Unmasking the Real You. This is based on a book by the same title by Brennan Manning and Jim Hancock and will involve us having four conversations, in various, creative ways:

Conversation 3: *A Flexible Heart: Wake Up Dead Person*
Big Idea: If the Resurrection means anything, it means everything.

Conversation 4: *Counting the Cost: Holy Desire*
Big Idea: We can’t have what we need without releasing what we have.

October is Global Involvement Month:
All of the offering that we receive during the month of October will be going straight to missions. We have set a goal for this month, so if you are able, please help us reach that goal.

Worship
we will gather for worship at the Found on Sunday at 10 am, upstairs in the sanctuary. Dress is comfortable. There is singing, sharing and prayer, time looking at scripture and fellowship.

*Just a reminder that we will not have worship here at the Found over fall break.

Guy's nights:
On October 4th, the guys are planning to go bowling! They will be meeting at the Found at 8pm to head over to the lanes. If you have any questions, please contact Evan at ebever@purdue.edu. Don't forget your socks!

Calling all Seniors and Grad Students:
We are hoping to start a bible study for the seniors and grad students of the group. If you are interested in joining this group please let Evan know as soon as possible at ebever@purdue.edu. As soon as we have the numbers of those we can get more information out to you.

Mission Opportunities:
The Found is involved in several mission and service projects throughout the year including Purdue Winterization and a spring break mission trip. This year,
the spring break mission trip will be an urban mission experience in Los Angeles. If you are interested in learning about or organizing these and other
mission and service projects, consider joining the Missions & Service Committee at the Found. Contact Hannah at hecripe@purdue.edu or Megan at
mposey@purdue.edu if you are interested.

A message From Peg Nowling:
"I have a ministry opportunity for you! I've been in contact with a woman from Bloomington whose nine year old daughter has been placed in a school here in Lafayette because her special needs. Katie would love to have visitors! She likes to watch dvds like "High School Musical" and "Princess Diaries." If you have an interest in being part of Katie's support team here in Lafayette, please let me know or call me at 742-5223. I'm really praying for this family! Thanks, Peg."

"Another opportunity: This one pays. Temple Israel on Cumberland needs childcare workers for their High Holiday services which are next Tuesday morning (Sept. 30th) and Thursday morning October 9th. You would need to be there by 9:30am. Services are usually over by around noon/12:30. Pay is $10 per hour. Let me know asap if you are interested. My cell number is 412-0492. Thanks."

You can also contact Hannah at hecripe@purdue.edu for more information.
